We’ve got warmer, bright, spring-ier temps on our minds due to the early March heat wave. Don’t you? Are you day dreaming of summer nights by the bonfire and Springtime baseball games? So let’s get ahead of ourselves and do some spring shopping for closet staples! We’ve rounded up our favorites here – a cognac/ lightweight bag, pop of color red flats, nautical striped shirt, white jeans, green anorak, light wash jean jacket and long pastel pink cardigan. Brrr! It sure is chilly out there! We are smack dab in the heart of winter now folks! So why not add some color to some rather dreary days?? We love to mix it up by taking rather bold colors like hot red and emerald green and tone them down a bit. Take for instance this color blocked ensemble. By pairing muted and pastel cranberry hues, you get a soft, comfortable palette! What do you think? This is totally an outfit that reads – hey! I’m put together, but I’m laid back. Who wouldn’t like that vibe? XO

Fall has the best colors, doesn’t it? I mean we are always up for some mint and cotton candy pink come spring, but there is something about those dark jewel tones and soft neutrals (like camel and peach) that make us feel all cozy inside! Since it’s Friday, we decided to share a relaxed and casual look! Great for running around or enjoying football at a bar with friends. Whatever tickles your fancy! XO

 If you’ve noticed – the weather is slowly, but surely, changing. The sun and humidity are still present, but that delicious fall wind has started up. The one that causes a slight chill when you’re standing in the shade. So it may be time to start cracking’ on your fall wardrobe and we’re here to say that it’s okay to start thinking about the fall trends you see in the collage above! That’s right – green scarves, leopard pattern flats classic black boots, tasteful leather pieces, cozy sweaters and wine colored bags are IN! IN – IN – IN! So don’t feel bad when you feel yourself wanting everything featured. It’s just about that time to purchase a few new necessities!! XO

One of our favorite summer flowers is the Dahlia. It’s bright and blooming and oh-so-pretty. We sort of created this casual, relaxed outfit around the beautiful flower. We figure the red and navy color combo isn’t going away any time soon, so we paired it with some leather neutrals. It totally completes the look! You can wear this food and clothing shopping, to the beach  or when running errands! Super easy.

Whether you plan on heading to the cape to open your summer house, jumping in the pool for a quick dip or lounging with some red,white+blue cocktails, you are bound to be happy! Let’s face it – we’ve had a rough winter. ROUGH! So you deserve to let your hair down and have a little fun! And it’s also Friday! We are so excited to cuddle up by the fire tonight after a fun week of shopping and styling. Aren’t you? Today we wanted to share some jacket inspiration with you. We’ve talked before about the different types of coats and jackets you need (for different seasons and events), but todays post is about specialty items! Wearing the same coat over and over and over in the winter can be bland and boring. Sometimes it’s fun to jazz it up! Dress it up! Wear a little color, leather or pattern! What do you say? We have to say that army green tends to remind us of the fall, but when you pair it with poppy orange and glimmering gold it is hot, hot, hot! This outfit of the day certainly has “Tory Burch on safari” vibes and we are so onboard. A neutral, all white ensemble is very crisp and is fun to add color to. And a little green anorak is perfect for those windy summer days, where you need a little something extra! Stay dry!

So in preparation of a month where we may experience drizzly days, we have put together a little rainy day inspiration. As we transition to warmer weather you can put your heavy wool or cashmere coats away and break out your nude and navy trench coats. We love a green and pink color combo! The stripe trend is nautical, classic and clean. It can transition you from spring to summer instantly. You can pair one of the many striped tees above with dark wash skinny jeans and red flats for spring and rock them with your white skinny jeans and silver Jack Rogers come summer. And of course we had to include some of our favorite accessories. How darling is that chevron white and red striped pillow? Perfect for your summer home!
