August Perfection

Untitled #73
Since August is one of our favorite months, it’s the perfect time to wear our favorite outfits! Today we are styling the CUTEST halter, patterned dress. We wanted to do a pop of color Kate Spade handbag, with a floppy straw hat and simple cognac wedges! It is the perfect ensemble to wear on a family picnic or clambake with friends. And our favorite flowers this month? Hydrangeas of course! XO

Coral & Powder Blue

Untitled #72

Have you ever seen a color combination that seemed a little out there? You weren’t sure of? But you know for some reason it worked? Well, we’ve always felt that way about powder blue and coral. It’s an odd combo, but it pairs well! Since we’re well into our first week of August, we highly suggest you whip out your cream and white lace (while you still can). While we tend to stray from the “no white after labor day”rule more and more every year, lace is a whole different topic. The combination screams spring and summer, not fall or winter. So basically the white, lace, coral, powder blue look is your go-to this weekend! XO

Casually Cute

Untitled #62

We thought we’d spice up our usual work outfit ensemble with an outfit that is a bit more laid back – think casual, but cute enough to wear to dinner! At the end of the day we don’t always have to wear dresses and skirts and suits – white jeans are exceptionally comfortable and a striped white and navy sweater is easy, peasy! And we always need a POP of color – so the coral flats take the cake – as is the Kyle Alexandra way! XO

Summer BrEAZE

Untitled #59
You know whats easy about summer? Dresses. Yes – we hear you grumbling or looking at us with one eyebrow raised. But dresses are easy to slip on, add a cardigan and either flats or wedges too and off you go! How simple? One of the first things we recommend to clients on-the-go are wash and wear, knit dresses from places like Banana Republic, LOFT, Old Navy and Nordstrom. The silhouettes are flattering and the colors are perfect for summer! And if you haven’t invested in some lightweight knit cardigans for summer – we suggest you do! Cashmere and wool just aren’t going to be your friend in these summer temps!

Weekend Wear

Thank god it’s Friday!
Has this week felt long? It has, hasn’t it?
If your weekend plans include a trip to the farmers market, errands upon errands, a movie date or a quiet moment in a coffee shop, we have put together the perfect outfit for you! By now the snow has started to melt and flats are semi-acceptal. Depending on the weather it may be time to give those boots a break and take the ballet flats for a spin! Stick to camel and glittery neutrals for a comfortable, chic look!

A Winning Combo

Untitled #38
I think we’ve had it up to here (you can’t tell but I am reaching far above my head) with the snow! Am I right or am I right? It was cool (pun intended) for the first first storm; snuggled inside by the fire, but it’s just too much at this point! So let’s talk about a better subject: this outfit! Hello! Look at how fun those boots are?! This outfit of the day is so put together! The navy, faux wrap dress and black belted coat are a winning combo.

Day-to-Night Delight

Untitled #22
Tell us: how many holiday parties do you have planned between today and Christmas? With the new year a mere two weeks away, your calendar is probably full of events! How fun? Are any of them after work? This tends to be the busiest time of year for not only parties, but for businesses too! Wrapping up budgets and preparing for time off can be super stressful. Getting from work to a party can cause unnecessary anxiety. Instead of bringing a change of clothes to work, why not bring a change of accessories? For daytime opt for a structured blazer or jacket over a faux wrap dress. At night slip into some gorgeous baubles and a red lip! It’s so easy to change up your outfit from day-to-night! All you need are a few trinkets.

Cobalt Craze

Untitled #13
You hear us talk about jewel tones often, but highlighting one specific jewel tone at a time may be to your benefit. A color palette can be extremely subjective and, at times, hard to create. There are hundreds of shades of blue, so today we are highlighting this beautiful color: cobalt! It resembles sapphire and is extremely saturated. And just like most things: there is a right and wrong way to do cobalt. Rock this pretty blue by wearing a slouchy sweater, snood scarf, aviator sunglasses or even a swing skirt! Do not try to wear cobalt in a leather jacket, pair of tights or severe eye shadow. What are you waiting for? Go grab some cobalt!

Perfectly Polished

Untitled #11
Now that it’s officially cold (really cold) it’s time to break out the boots, the tights and the turtlenecks. We love a polished look – like the one featured here, today. The turtleneck is extremely professional and looks great with any colored skirt. Hunter green is a darker, saturated tone that is gorgeous for fall! Don’t you think? For a casual Friday pair the look with leather boots and for a day in the office pair it with black, patent heels. You can’t go wrong with polished!
