It’s January. It’s cold. And getting out of bed to get dressed in the morning isn’t exactly exciting. Staying under the covers sounds a letter better, right? So let’s make it easy! Tights! Check. Black boots! Check. A solid colored dress? Check! Easy – peasy right? Then adding accessories is a piece of cake. We started with a solid teal green foundation and decided to use a delicious pink raspberry color to compliment! We LOVE the idea of these pretty gardenia inspired hues together! XO

Derby Day
Kyle and her husband Brian are hosting their 4th annual Kentucky Derby party on Saturday and they are so excited! In honor of the impending party, we are sharing a Derby-Day inspired ensemble. You can’t attend a Derby party without a fascinator! It’s the quintessential piece to any woman’s outfit (bow ties for the men)! We opted to stick to a classic color combo: blue, yellow and nude! It’s fresh and pretty! Perfectly polished for any mint julep drinking, horse-betting, boogie dancing extravaganza! Wherever you celebrate this fun holiday, we hope its a blast! xo

Cobalt Craze
You hear us talk about jewel tones often, but highlighting one specific jewel tone at a time may be to your benefit. A color palette can be extremely subjective and, at times, hard to create. There are hundreds of shades of blue, so today we are highlighting this beautiful color: cobalt! It resembles sapphire and is extremely saturated. And just like most things: there is a right and wrong way to do cobalt. Rock this pretty blue by wearing a slouchy sweater, snood scarf, aviator sunglasses or even a swing skirt! Do not try to wear cobalt in a leather jacket, pair of tights or severe eye shadow. What are you waiting for? Go grab some cobalt!
Date Night
There is something to be said about a red and black color combination. It’s sexy and chic and just oh-so-perfect for a Friday date night. out on the town! Today we have put together some inspiration for you to get out of the house after a long week of work! Wear your best ‘little black dress,’ pop on some glam red lip stick and rock your favorite dancing shoes. It’s Friday!
TGIF!
Am I right?
Moving In On Metallics
Just like leather, there is a right and wrong way to do metallic. Gold and silver metallic make for wonderful neutrals. They can jazz up an outfit or simply complete it. Depending on the time of year, we tend to shy away from metallic shirts and pants (holidays are okay), and opt instead for metallic accessories. An accessory could include a shiny scarf, pretty nail polish, embellished flat, zippy purse or evening clutch. Because dark colors and jewel tones set the tone for fall it’s really fun to play up your metallic game. Keep them in motion! We promise – you won’t regret it!
Top It Off
Women love to wear black. Or at least a lot of dark neutrals. Black is easy and sophisticated. It fits well into a corporate environments. At Kyle Alexandra we love a pop of color, but we understand that it’s hard to break away from a comfort zone. So let’s start slowly, shall we? Accessories! We often hear that coordinating outfits is difficult. By utilizing printed scarves, colorful baubles and bold nail polish, you can easily add color to any outfit, when pulling together a look of all neutrals. Here are some of our favorite fall jewel tones and bright baubles for your daily dose of inspiration!
Polished Perfection
How amazing is this outfit of the day? It’s comfortable, put together and chic. There is something to be said about color blocking. By breaking up the black with a green a-line skirt, your silhouette will look extra long and lean. As previously stated, we are huge fans of Spanx tights! They are stretchy and thick. We suggest you invest in a few pairs and you will be set for the season! How easy is that? Another new favorite? These adorable black suede wedges. They are darling and pair with many skirt sets hanging in our closet.
Cognac & Camel
Yesterday we told you how to change over your closet for fall, and now we are bringing you the first of many beautiful looks that you can implement into your wardrobe. Jewel tones are best for saturated color combinations this fall, but we are kicking off our look of the day series with delicious neutrals! We urge you to be careful with wearing brown. Rich cognac colors tend to be our favorite. Pairing cognac leather with cream and camel makes for such a luxe look. It’s professional and fashion forward!
