Out of the Box

Bags! Lovely leather carry alls, shoulder strapped side bags, classic toes – ladies, we have to agree that a good bag can totally make an outfit! And I think the other thing we agree on is that we tend to stick to one type of bag on a regular basis! Which makes sense because it carries our entire life. But why not switch it up? Even for a night on the town? Think outside the box and opt for something you wouldn’t originally go for. You’ll be surprised to find that you like different shapes and sizes! XO

Made For Walking

Untitled #31
All of these boots are made for walking!
Just like our coat discussion, there are many different types of boots that are essential for your winter wardrobe. Different boots for different occasions! For example, the boots in the center are perfect for a day of business meetings with a sheath dress or with riding pants for a night on the town. The bottom left and top right boots are great for casual days and long walks. They are comfortable and fashionable! For those stormy, wet mornings it’s essential to have a comfortable commuter boot. Hunters will keep you dry on your way to work (top left). And if you are in to the booty trend, but aren’t sure what style is flattering: look no further. The bottom right boots are fun for a dinner date! What do you think? Do you have different boots for different ocassions?

Crazy for Coats

Untitled #17
If you’ve been bit by jack frost, then you’ve started to break out your winter jackets. There are a few type of jackets that are imperative for your winter wardrobe. You’ll want to wear a longer, nicer coat during events out, compared to the puffy, down jacket you’ll wear running errands. So today we have come with a few of our favorites. Color is key when rocking coats! Who wants to wear something drab in such drab weather? No one! Rich, luxe hues like camel or burgundy look extremely polished for the winter months. A leather jacket, checkered detail, fur hood or swing cape are all great ways to mix up your otherwise obvious black jacket. So mix it up! And try not to let jack bite.

Raspberry Red

Happy Monday!
We hope that you thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful fall weekend. There is truly nothing like a warm October Sunday afternoon. Whether you were apple picking, soccer watching or simply relaxing, we hope you are refreshed – ready to start  a new week. For this Monday look of the day we were inspired by two very delicious fruit – raspberries and blackberries. The dark red color pops nicely against black. We went a very classic route – pairing the dress with a panted black pump, black trench and chic purse. By adding a simple pearl necklace – the look is pretty and put together. We hope you are inspired!
Have a good one!

Singing In The Rain

Untitled #54
You know what they say – April showers bring May flowers!
So in preparation of a month where we may experience drizzly days, we have put together a little rainy day inspiration. As we transition to warmer weather you can put your heavy wool or cashmere coats away and break out your nude and navy trench coats. We love a green and pink color combo! Next time you visit the market and you want to stay dry just grab your umbrella and a pair of Hunter Wellies!

Burrrrinng in the Coats

One | Two | Three | Four
The temps have dropped over night and today we want to be cuddled up next to a roaring fire sipping on Starbucks Peppermint Mochas. When we do leave the office today we will need to grab a scarf and jacket, but the jacket really depends on the daily ensemble. Today we are bringing you the top four jackets to purchase for the upcoming winter season.
One: The Car Coat
The car coat is the perfect outerwear to rock over a dress, skirt, pants or jeans! It can totally dress up an outfit so whether your running to the grocery store or you are spruced up for a ten o’clock meeting the car coat is an essential.
Two: The Trench Coat
The trench coat is extremely flattering. It cinches at your waist and is such a classic. Be sure to buy a trench with a liner so that you can wear it when its snowing or raining.
Three: Anorak Coat
The Anorak is warm and rugged. It is the quintessential outerwear for a football game, soccer game or apple picking. Even Princess Catherine has one and often sports hers to the stables when she horse back rides.
Four: The Leather Jacket
The leather jacket is a statement item. You don’t have to be super edgy to wear one! You can pair it casually with jeans or on a date with a blouse and skirt.
No matter which jacket you choose to purchase this winter, you can’t go wrong. All the options included here are unique and gorgeous. Ideally you’ll want to collect all four for all the occasions we mentioned. And always remember there is a time and place for a North Face fleece jacket – and that is to and from the gym in your yoga pants!
