First Day Back

If you haven’t returned to work since before Christmas (and you don’t plan on doing so until Monday, January 4th) – this post is probably for you. You’re going to walk into the office next Monday – new year, people discussing their new goals and you’ll probably want to feel like you too have a little extra pep in your step! So why not wear something that does that? We love how calming this pink is. By making it the star in your first outfit back to work – you’ll make a statement. We hadn’t done an accessory round up in quite a bit and given that we are smack dab in the middle of summer – we figure that a post containing our favorite sunglasses is the perfect remedy for a beautiful Thursday morning. Sunglasses can be hard. People have different face shapes! This makes it hard to wear a “trendy” pair of sunnies instead of a pair that are made for your face. Our favorites include black round sunnies, aviators, cat-eye (they make your face look skinnier), pop of color, oversized and tortoise shell! Each have a fun detail and are perfect for a plethora of summer plans! Happy shopping! XO

Moving In On Metallics

Just like leather, there is a right and wrong way to do metallic. Gold and silver metallic make for wonderful neutrals. They can jazz up an outfit or simply complete it. Depending on the time of year, we tend to shy away from metallic shirts and pants (holidays are okay), and opt instead for metallic accessories. An accessory could include a shiny scarf, pretty nail polish, embellished flat, zippy purse or evening clutch. Because dark colors and jewel tones set the tone for fall it’s really fun to play up your metallic game. Keep them in motion! We promise – you won’t regret it!

Why would you succumb to the yoga pants-North Face fleece – Ugg boot frump trend, that Boston has embarssingly mastered, when you can wear something easily as comfortable and accessible on a day to day basis? We all have the basics. Yoga pants are meant for yoga, Ugg boots are meant for staying warm in your house and a North Face is necessary for gym outerwear. Other than those instances, however, the cliche ensemble is unacceptable to wear to the grocery store or to coffee with a girlfriend. We’re not trying to be mean! We are trying to help you out. You are better than this. If you feel confident in something more put together, your day is guaranteed to go well! So go invest in a pair of AG jeans, A solid colored sweater and a cute printed scarf! It will go a long way.
